About Me

I started this blog as a way to write down thoughts about my life and try to figure out who I am as a person. It’s frustrating not knowing what direction you’re heading in this game called, “Life” or at least have an idea on where you’re heading.

Especially when I don’t really know who I am as a person yet. You would think by now I would have some idea … but I honestly don’t.

So writing my thoughts in this blog helps me explore why I do certain things … why I get so attached to people … why I am the person I am today… and possibly figure out how being gay fits into my life.

Who knew being gay was so diffcult … it’s like a multi-step process. You have to come to terms with yourself, them come out of the closet to your friends and family, and then deal with that.

After sorting all that out, then you have to roam about in the jungle, per-se, to find your partner (well hopefully). I’m not completely out, most of my friends know, my sister knows, and that’s about it.

I don’t feel being gay defines who you are as a person, so I don’t feel compelled to tell everyone I meet that I am. But it does feel better once people know though, you finally feel like yourself … not this facade you walk around pretending to be.

Anyways, so a little bit about me …..

I love to laugh .. it’s the best feeling in the world when you’re laughing so hard the sides of your body start hurting. You forget all your problems, the drama going on in your life, projects that are overwhelming you at work .. it’s such a euphoric feeling to experience.

I’m very loyal to my friends, love them to death. I would drop everything I was doing if they needed help. I can’t imagine a world without them … having them makes life just a tad more interesting.

So basically I am …..

  • Humble
  • In my mid-20’s, nearing 30 which scares the living daylight out of me!
  • “Likes the simple things in life” kind of guy
  • Sappy
  • Working about in L.A. …. love the weather! (Most of the time)
  • A semi-workaholic
  • Over-analytical
  • Sarcastic at times
  • Can’t let things go (I’m working on this though)
  • Take things too personally sometimes (again, working on it)
  • A little bit OCD’ish (but who isn’t?)
  • Care about my close friends
  • Gadget freak like no other
  • Absolutely love Apple products
  • Can’t stand doing nothing .. got to keep busy
  • Love watching movies (especially Independent type ones)
  • Blogging of course
  • Worship the all mighty tv (yay for YouTube!)

I’ll probably add more to this section as I think of it. So come along and join me for some Moments of Randomness!

Just passing through while reading random posts from folks… I love the “character” quote of the day you have. It hits home. I’ve been telling my friends lately that you really see what a person (or country) is made out of when the shit hits the fan. The quote strips us of all the “spin” and reveals the truth.

Hi Kathleen, thanks for the comment and stopping by. Glad you like the quote. Wasn’t sure if people actually read those .. πŸ™‚ .

Okay, so in the spirit of posting as many times on your blog as possible, here’s another. Not that I seek only to affirm the things we share, but…I LOVE APPLE! I want an iPhone like nothing else.

  • 4. - A  |  November.26.2007 at 11:09 am

Hello A, I thought I was the only person in this blogging world that would use “A” as their name. I guess I’m not as creative as I thought I was, lol.

Excellent, I found another person who loves Apple as much as I do. I swear, if it were a religion, I would be praising the all might Steve Jobs everyday. He is almost god-like (joking).

I treat my iPhone as if it were my own child, haha.

    A followed by A followed by 94 – that’s random for you.
My apple, by the way, is a local grown cox’s orange pippin which I am going to devour in 17 minutes while listening to the midnight news
    (No Apple, no TV)

I think that is pretty random for me, especially the comment. Happy eating your apple and listening to the midnight news … how very random … πŸ™‚

A reading suggestion: The Art of Intrusion -Kevin Mitnick.
You will like this book seeing your interest in computers. Figure if your house catches on fire….you will need something to keep your mind off the turtle. πŸ™‚ If you go to the computer conventions you know who Kevin Mitnick is. Of course he was probably more into the “Defcon” underground convention.

As far as your above situation….the best advice is to be honest with all of your friends. Have enough respect for them to trust them with it. If they are the friends you say they will be more upset if you don’t trust them with who you are. Most of all accept it yourself and stop judging yourself. You cannot expect anyone to accept it if you can’t. The hardest part is over…..Kind of like addiction..you must first acknowledge it and accept it as fact. The rest will come easy after that.

I apologize for imposing upon your life ….you don’t know me. I found this site while looking for a quote. Go figure..now that is Random. This has happened to me a lot recently. Not sure why I felt compelled to respond. I never respond to blogs like I have lately. …maybe I too am searching for something. Heck, at least you KNOW what your’s is.

THanks JRW, I really appreciate your comment and advice!

And yes .. I know of Kevin Mitnick … my poor turtle, lol.

Don’t apologize at all, yes I don’t know you … but your kind words of encouragement is very appreciative. I think you hit it right on the ball about accepting the fact of who I am …

I hope your search goes well. πŸ™‚

I was reading over the above comments….and you posted in reply to A about being the only person in this blogging world that could use the “A”. I think WP recognizes you as -A and that changes the whole context of A. As far as WP is concerned -A was not the same. I could go in and make up one provided that it was not taken as –A (two dashes) and it would let me do it. In addition to likeness the extra character makes it way different. That is an example of how computers just read black and white and do not recognize creativity in the gray. πŸ™‚
