The Rumor Mill Is Churning
So this weekend as I’m reading through my Google Reader (I love RSS feeds, what can I say?). The Apple rumor mill was a buzz because of the supposedly forthcoming firmware 1.1.3, which is quite exciting to hear. As I’m reading through the different rumor forums, there were many who said that the pictures that were shown were Photoshopped and fake. But as the weekend progressed, many other sites concluded that the pictures were indeed authentic and the real thing.
New features that are included in this firmware are:
- Edit Home Screen – Rearrange icons on your home screen
- Drag icons around with your finger
- Locate Me integration (pseudo-GPS) with Google Maps
- Send SMS to multiple people
- Add Safari Bookmarks to your Home Screen
Gearlive also added this video demonstrating the new features to disprove that the screenshots were faked or Photoshopped. After watching the video, I am very eager to get my hands on this firmware. Please Steve Jobs … oh please release it soon … I want to get my hands on it. Especially the “Locate Me” feature of Google Maps. Sure it’s not GPS, but hey …. it’s better than nothing. I’m loving my iPhone more and more. Can’t wait for the SDK to come out in February too!
And Macworld is about 2 weeks away, can’t wait … can’t wait. I’ve never been so excited as I am right now. It’s almost like Christmas, to have that day finally come and open your presents. But in this case it’s to hear what Mr. Jobs is releasing to the Apple community, maybe I’m just an Apple freak …
On a personal note …..

Socks, French Toast, And Kindness
Okay, so my birthday is coming up soon and I’ll be yet another year older. Blah, I feel incredibly archaic. I’ll most likely be sitting at home most of the day, but hey …..
One more day before I go on vacation …. can’t wait. The best part of it ….. to sleep in and not have to wake up at 06:00 a.m.

What You Lookin’ At?
I’m either being really paranoid or just imagining things. So at work, there’s this guy I see sometimes in the hallway. We’ll call him, “Hallway Guy”. The first time I saw him he reminded me so much of one of my friends. I remember seeing him the first time, he gave me this odd stare. That was back when we first moved in and everyone was curious who we were and where we moved from. So it was normal for me to have stares from random strangers.
Whenever we pass each other, I swear he glances at me more than a normal guy should. I’m thinking to myself, “What you lookin’ at?”. It’s just an odd feeling to experience. He’s not bad looking, about my height, looks Filipino and his jeans are a bit tighter than what normal straight guys would wear, maybe he’s just trendy or emo.
Anyways, sometimes when I’m heating up my food for lunch or going to the restroom, he’ll always look at my direction those times we see each other. Never once does Hallway Guy not glance towards me. Maybe I just remind him of someone. So a couple of day’s ago I was in the restroom flushing out my mouth with a syringe to keep my mouth clean (after having my wisdom teeth removed last week).
I’m standing at the sink flushing away, Hallway Guy walks in and yet again glances toward my vicinity (even I would do a double take if I saw someone put a syringe in their mouth too!). I’m doing my business keeping cool and calm, making it seem like it’s normal (even though I felt awkward doing so) and he’s just fixing his hair in the mirror. In the corner of my eye I see him walk into the stall to grab what I think is toilet paper to blow his nose or something.
After I finish flushing my mouth, I wash my hands and watch him in the corner of my eye. From what I remember, he’s trying to do something with the back of his shirt. I finish my business and walk out of the restroom with him still trying to do something with his shirt. If he were gay and I had the guts to do so ….. I would introduce myself. But I’m chicken and really hate doing small chit-chat.
The year is finally coming to a close, my how time flies when you don’t think about it. Tick … tock … tick … tock …..

Picture A Day For 39 Years
Not really sure if it’s because the Simpson’s have been on for over a decade, but these day’s their episodes aren’t as funny and witty when the series first came out. I love this scene from this past weekend’s episode though. I was watching the clip on my iPhone and wow … looks gorgeous on it.
The clip features Homer’s life flashing right before him as he jumps off a bridge to kill himself, or more like Patty and Selma pushed him off the bridge.
On a side note, my birthday is coming up soon *takes deep breath*. It’s quite sad when the nurse writes down the incorrect time I was born. So now I don’t even know exactly when I popped out, just that it was in the afternoon. They didn’t even spell my mom’s name correctly either, haha.
This will be the first year my sister won’t be here for my birthday (she’ll probably be in Vegas by that day). Great to know I’m loved. *say’s me sarcastically*.
I’m digressing from the topic, so enjoy the clip!

Yes!

Yes! I found a movie theater near me that’s playing Juno. I still want to watch it, even though I’m probably the only person in my circle of friends who does.
Now … I just have to try and convince a certain friend of mine to come along to watch it with me. Jennifer Garner’s in it, so I’m hoping he’ll go, but most likely ….. he’ll end up not going.

The Next Thing I Remember Was … I Was At CVS
Getting anesthetized is an odd feeling … well I’ll get more into that later. Anyways, after going for my oral surgeon appointment, I went through with it. Thanks to everyone’s well wishes, I really appreciate it.
And yes, the operation was close to $1500, that’s going to be a big dent to my bank account, darn it!!!

Oh So Yummy!
If you guy’s haven’t been to Porto’s yet … you’re missing out! I’ve only tried their pastries, but what I’ve eaten so far is very scrumptious.

I didn’t take the picture, but I’ve eaten the two items above. The top item is a cheese roll, it’s so delicious! And the potato balls are good too, especially when they’re still warm. *Starts drooling*
I’ve also tried their fruit tart which is … yes … quite delicious! Too bad they don’t have a location near where I live. They’re located deep within L.A. (Burbank / Glendale area), which is a bit of a drive for me.
Oh gosh, I feel like some right now …..
