Sushi, Ice Cream and Then Some

This post is a bit late, partly my doing .. I kept it in my “Draft” folder and never got the chance to re-edit / review it. It was when I went to dinner awhile back.

Just another random post … I needed to publish it so my draft folder wouldn’t be so bulky .. *blah*

Let’s go into our time machine .. and travel back in time to last month or so …. whoa whoa … *cue Back to the Future theme song*

So the highlight of my week wasn’t hearing about 9/80 *woot woot*, wasn’t knowing Harry Potter was coming out *double woot woot*, no .. it was actually having dinner with a friend I knew, that I hadn’t seen nor spoken to for awhile. It’s the little things that I enjoy out of life, , I’m odd that way. That was what I was waiting for this entire week … so we had sushi .. some ice cream and then some …

Sushi was good … can’t really compare it to the best sushi .. but still … it was nice. I miss this little place in Old Town Pasadena, I went there for lunch one day when I was working at the old internship last summer. It has a really interesting atmosphere. At the sushi bar, there are these tiny boats that float in front of you. On them are plates with the actual sushi.

 

Above is an actual picture of the restaurant and “floating boat” that I found on a website. And no .. you can’t pick up the boat because they’re all attached to each other by a chain. If you look at the sushi .. you’ll notice a design on the plate itself. It’s a great place to eat and bring friends along to. I want to go back though … maybe after work or something or if I’m desperately bored on a random weekend.

It’s weird how they charge you, it depends on the design of the plate. You have your paper place mat below you and it list the prices by the plate’s design. I remember making sure I didn’t eat so much because I only had a $20 bill on me **Mental note … bring more cash next time** Sushi was good though … . And Old Town Pasadena is a great place to eat, shop, and just hang out. Too bad it’s just a tad far .. driving wise. And traffic is horrendous on the 210 .. trust me on this.

Anywho … we went for sushi … got some ice cream afterwards **yum yum**. Caught up a little on life, more so of him than me, but caught up with him non the less. A bit dumbstruck when he actually wanted to go out and eat dinner, I wasn’t expecting that. We finished eating, talked a little afterwards, then left and went our separate ways.

It was really nice seeing him again, kind of missed him, just being able to joke around and talk. It’s fun to get out of the usual routine of work, work, work and just relax and enjoy ourselves. It made my week .. . **Gives hug** … I know how much he hates it and gets annoyed when I do give him one though … **laughing quietly to myself**

I remember this random memory at my previous job; a former co-worker said she was reading a post of mine. And when doing so, could hear my voice narrating it. I started to laugh because it was hysterical that she would remember my voice and read the post as if I were talking to her, good times.

Yay .. Superbad is coming out tomorrow. Looks funny … so want to watch it! Stupid other friend of mine .. he was saying it was a lame movie. Who was the one who wanted to watch Stardust? That’s right .. him! That guy is so adorable sometimes … … sometimes

I get to finally sleep in … praise 9/80! (Well sometimes … ). So for now …

P.S. … Love Zoila. I’ll put up some clips and comments on the show sometime this week. Darn that evil Monkey .. who knew he was hiding under the cupboard. Poor Steven, I felt bad when he started to cry … and I thought he was doing so because he though Monkey didn’t like him anymore.
